| Who Runs the Foundation? |
The Board of Directors of the Foundation is responsible for
the operations of the Foundation. These operations include: |
- Setting policies concerning encouraging
- Accepting and safeguarding
receipts,
- Maximizing investment returns
- Observing donor restrictions as to uses
of principal and investment income
- Informing Church members of the Foundation’s
goals and results

| The Foundation Board is made up of directors from the Church
membership at large, who are appointed by the Church’s Leadership Board,
and several members of the Church’s Board of Trustees. Foundation Board members serve staggered three-year terms: one-third
of the Board is appointed each year, which assures continuity of operation. |
| The Trustees are
responsible for the Church’s real property and automatically serve as Board
members, but the Foundation Board is independent of the Church, acting in accordance
with Foundation Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. |
