| Over the past few months, I have felt a lot like Moses,
inadequate and unprepared for the task that God chose for me. I am grateful that
He did not ask me to lead His people to a new homeland. But at times, the task
of talking about giving seemed just as difficult as a forty-year journey. I prayed
that God would give me the words for the letter to all of you about your commitments
and He did. He was with me every step of the way. |
| Giving has always been a part of my life but I liked
to do it quietly and never intended to share my views on a large scale. God had
a different plan and that is why I shared my beliefs about giving with each of
you. It was an act of faith and I have been richly blessed because I listened
and trusted God. |
| I believe that God will use our gifts and Lovers Lane
Church to create a beacon of light and hope in the darkness of our city. Lives
will be changed, hearts will be mended and, together, we make it possible for
others to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. These are exciting times
in the life of our church. |
| Thank you for being radically generous and a church
with a heart. |
