Life Groups--what a great concept

A Life Group is indeed a place to find life, to connect with others, to invite those who may find their spiritual paths in a place other than the local church to build relationships with you.

But many ask, "How do Life Groups work?" or "What does it take to start and lead one?"

In order to answer these and many other questions, we have created a four week training class. If you want to be a part of bringing our 20 year Vision off the paper and into life, you'll want to be a part of Life Group Ministry. Recall the Discipling diagram, the "inreach" challenges, the lay-driven church that are part of God's vision for Lovers Lane--these are at the heart of Life Groups.

We're inviting all who feel called to small group ministry to be a part of this training, but there are also special invitations being sent out to spiritual leaders in our Christ Family. If we are to live into our Vision, participation in Life Groups by our current leadership is vital.

The training begins in Asbury Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, and will continue for the next three Wednesdays, ending June 7. The summer will be devoted to coaching the new leaders with numerous groups to be launched in the fall of 2006.
Remember, Life Groups are for EVERYONE.
Both long-term and brand-new members are welcome
to participate in this incredible training!
Training topics:
First session, May 17 What's, Why's, and Wherefore's
Second session, May 24 Getting Started
Third session, May 31 Lay Pastor, Who Me?
Fourth Session, June 7 How To's: Bible Study, Sharing, Prayer, Fellowship
