| BITE BACK : Help End Malaria. I am encouraging the each teenager to bring $10 the next several Sundays. $10 will buy a net and will save a life in Africa. "If you think you’re too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito." Every African knows this is true because mosquitoes carry malaria—a tropical disease that kills over 750,000 children each year. That’s one child every 30 seconds. In Africa, mosquitoes make a huge difference in the lives of poor families and children. And it all starts with a tiny bite. Malaria begins with a bite. We believe that generation change can end malaria with an even bigger bite. The BITE BACK campaign is mobilizing youth around the country to purchase 300,000 mosquito nets to protect African children from malaria. Let’s be the generation that ends malaria. http://biteback.net/ |
