Promise House 236 W. Page Avenue Dallas, TX 75208 214-941-8578 Director: Dr. Harriet Boorham	Promise House is an anchor for children, youth, and young adults faced with hardships. We provide the strength, stability, and hope they need to become healthy, productive, and self-sufficient adults.
Through crisis intervention, emergency shelter, transitional living, education, counseling and mental health services, street outreach, and advocacy, our youth gain the tools they need to succeed.
Since 1984, Promise House has been an open door 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year for teens and their families in crisis. It was founded by an outreach committee of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, and opened in an old blue house in the Oak Cliff neighborhood as a no-cost emergency shelter for runaway teens.
Today, it is an independent 501(c)(3) and operates nine major programs (both residential and non-residential). Over the past year, Promise House served more children, young adults, and families than ever before-8,000 people, an increase of 2,000 over the previous year! Since its inception, Promise House has served well over 46,000 people.
Although Promise House offers free-of-charge services to clients regardless of their income level, 98% of the youth served are from low- or poverty-level income homes. While Promise House specializes in teenagers, it also understands that the health of the entire family is critical to the success not only of each individual family member, but also to the success of the community as a whole.

	Invite Promise House to visit your Sunday school class or organization.
	Serve as a Promise House Board or Committee member.

	Contribute money to help support the agency.
