Haiti Relief Efforts
You can respond to the needs of people in Haiti by providing a health kit and/or making a donation. The health kit is a 1 gallon zip lock bag loaded with the following:
  • 1 hand towel (15”x25”up to 17”x27”, No kitchen towels)
  • 1 washcloth
  • 1 comb (large and sturdy, not pocket-sized)
  • 1 nail file or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers)
  • 1 bath-size bar of soap (3 oz. and up)
  • 1 toothbrush (single brushes only in original wrapper, No child-size brushes)
  • 6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages
  • $1.00 to purchase toothpaste
Note: UMCOR is now purchasing toothpaste in bulk to be added to health kits before shipping to ensure that the product does not expire before they are sent.)
  • All items in kits must be NEW items.
  • All emergency kits are carefully planned to make them usable in the greatest number of situations.
  • Do NOT include any personal notes, money other than the $1.00, or additional materials in the kits. The extra items would not be accepted and the shipment would be delayed.

Deliver kits to the lobby of Christ Family Center or the Welcome Center of Aldersgate Hall.

You can also make a financial donation by sending a check or credit/debit card payment to the church. Please note the donation for Haiti relief effort. The funds will be transferred to the United Methodist Committee on Relief. The operating cost of UMCOR is funded by other United Methodist agencies so 100% of your donation will go to Haiti relief.
Thank you for responding.
