Rev. Buckley began discerning God's call to ministry during her undergraduate collegiate years at Southern University A&M College where she earned a B.S. Degree in Psychology. After her matriculation from Southern, she entered seminary where she obtained a Master's of Divinity Degree. Her calling to ministry has led her from the pew to the pulpit. She has a strong passion for preaching the Good News and teaching congregations! Shanté thoroughly enjoys leading people in experiencing God through ways that will stretch and strengthen them in their relationship with God with and others.

Rev. Buckley has followed God's leading to full time ministry. Shanté served at St. Paul United Methodist for 3 years and is currently on staff at Lovers Lane UMC as an Associate Pastor for the Evangelism and Discipleship ministries. Her responsibilities include ensuring that new members are assimilated into the ministries and missions offered through Lovers Lane church. She facilitates the Beginnings classes, which are for new members and those considering membership at Lovers Lane . She also coordinates the bi- monthly Pastor's Brunches and preaches in the Crosswalk Services. Shanté enjoys the pastoral care responsibilities of ministering to those who are sick and lonely.

This young, dynamic, energetic pastor is excited to serve the Body of Christ. She uses her gift of communication in various settings of people from all ages, genders, races, and socio-economic backgrounds in life.

She believes it is her gift to help those who cross her path to embrace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as well as discover their God given gifts and passions for life. By doing so, she believes that they will be better equipped to live out their lives more abundantly with love, hope, and excitement! Rev. Buckley is convinced that Jeremiah 29:11-13 is a scripture for all of God's people. This text has helped to frame and support her foundation in life both personally and professionally.

Her involvement as a keynote speaker and board member for various non-profit organizations and churches has given her the opportunity to help others explore God's blue print for their lives, families, and communities.

Pastor Buckley is a single pastor who hales from St. Louis , MO. Although that will always be home, she is thrilled to call Dallas ,TX home away from home. She is an avid reader who also enjoys writing, running, spending quality time with friends, and shopping.
